Technical services — Optimised oil-change maintenance

Optimizing Oil Change Intervals

Most factories change oil based on the hours specified in the equipment manual. That figure is provided by the machine manufacturer for average operating conditions, not your actual conditions. The result is often changing oil earlier than necessary—wasting oil, labor, and machine downtime.

How Techtrol Determines the Optimal Operating Method

The change interval is determined using actual oil analysis data from the equipment itself, monitored over multiple sampling points to identify trends.

Results are for reference only

Equipment Type Manual Interval Optimized Interval
Screw Air Compressor 2,000 hours 3,000–4,000 hours
Press Hydraulic System 2,000 hours 3,000–4,000 hours
Gearbox 4,000 hours 6,000 hours

The figures above are illustrative; actual assessments are based on the evaluation of technical parameters for each piece of equipment.

Techtrol's Process

  1. List the equipment and the oil change intervals currently in use.
  2. Collect oil samples at the midpoint and end of the current interval.
  3. Determine when the oil truly loses its ability to perform.
  4. Propose a new interval with verification sampling points.
  5. Monitor the first 2–3 intervals before finalizing the procedure.

Included

  • A ready-to-use lubrication maintenance schedule for each piece of equipment.
  • Instructions for operators on how to drain and refill oil correctly.
  • Early warnings when sample data indicates that the interval needs to be shortened.
