Atem launches a new generation of water-miscible cutting fluid for CNC machining
The new formula keeps the emulsion stable for longer, reduces odors, and inhibits microbial growth in storage tanks — the three most common problems with water-miscible cutting fluids.
Water-miscible cutting oil fails not because it loses its lubricating ability, but because the emulsion separates and microorganisms grow in the tank. Atem's new formula focuses precisely on these two points.
Changes from the previous generation
| Criteria | Old generation | New generation |
|---|---|---|
| Emulsion stability duration | 4–6 weeks | 10–12 weeks |
| Recommended mixing concentration | 8–10% | 5–7% |
| Odor in enclosed workshops | noticeable after 3 weeks | significantly reduced |
Suitable for
- CNC milling and turning machines operating multiple shifts
- Machining steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys
- Workshops with centralized oil tanks that are difficult to drain completely and frequently
Notes on switching
- Drain the old tank completely and clean bottom sediment before mixing a new batch.
- Mix in the correct order: add oil to water, not the other way around.
- Check concentration using a refractometer weekly during the first month.
